Initiatives and Projects

Safer York Partnership, in conjunction with a number of partners, run various initiatives in order to meet the Safer Neighbourhood targets set out in the Community Safety Strategy. Some ongoing key projects are listed below:

ALTN8

ALTN8 works on the theme of promoting healthy and responsible drinking as well as alternating nights out drinking with nights doing something different. The campaign pulls partners in from across the city, with themed weekends throughout the summer. All partners take part in the community engagement and high visibility initiative which runs on a Friday and Saturday night. Local taxi and bars also support the scheme
