What Are Burglary Packs

This initiative includes a pack for distribution to all burglary victims, and another for households within the vicinity of the victimised property (i.e. the same street).

Packs contain crime prevention literature and advice on funding sources for crime prevention measures.

Packs are distributed by police officers.

All burglary victims receive a follow-up visit by a police officer who will give further explanation of the content of the pack and provide assistance to those eligible for crime prevention/home security grants.

This initiative was developed in response to research into victimisation patterns which identified that victimised properties and those within the vicinity are at heightened vulnerability to future crimes.
